Although the leaves on the trees have not fully transformed, there are bits and pieces of autumn to be found in Connecticut.
I am visiting my childhood friend, Autumn, who now lives in the Northeast with her husband, David. She is the girl on the right side of this picture:
I can just see the look on her face when she reads this post. Hopefully this will be one of those days she isn’t able to get online. I will try to keep her busy. But then again, I am the girl on the left side of the photo…
It has been a relaxing week, including walking, listening to music, eating out and talking about deep like whether or not there will be bleu cheese in heaven. You know, the most important topics in life.
When I was little I created a list of places I wanted to go and things I wanted to do when I grew up. I wanted to:
1. Be a paleontologist (study dinosaur bones)
2. Go to the Northeast in the fall
3. Travel outside the U.S.A.
4. Have sex before Jesus comes back
5. Ride in a hot air balloon
6. Go on a safari
7. Ride on a train
Because my friend so graciously moved to the Northeast, I’ve marked off another item on my list. I know she moved across the country solely for me, so for that I say thank you, Aut.
P.S. There are two items on the list above which I have not accomplished. I will let you guess which two….

I’m going to say #1 and #6.
So far, I’ve experienced spring, summer, and winter in the east coast, but not my favorite season.
Ding! Ding! Ding! I had never been north of Philadelphia before this trip. It was definitely worth the long drive.
I’m totally with you on #4. Still hoping! hahaha.
